2. Zero Tolerance for Harassment
  • Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to discriminatory language, offensive comments, and unwanted advances, will not be tolerated.
  • Any participant engaging in harassment will be asked to leave the event immediately.
3. Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Foster an atmosphere of cooperation and support among teams. Share knowledge, ideas, and resources freely while maintaining mutual respect.
  • Encourage diverse perspectives and actively seek out input from all team members.
4. Integrity and Fair Play
  • Uphold honesty in all aspects of the hackathon, including project development, teamwork, and presentations.
  • Do not plagiarize or use unauthorized third-party resources without proper attribution.

  • While competition is encouraged, maintain a healthy and positive attitude towards other teams.
  • Avoid undermining, sabotaging, or engaging in any behavior that detracts from another team's work or morale.
8. Safety and Well-being
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the event organizers.
  • Respect the physical and emotional well-being of yourself and others, and speak up if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
9. Reporting Violations
  • If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to a staff member or organizer.
  • All reports will be handled with confidentiality and care.
10. Consequences of Violations
  • Participants who violate this Code of Conduct may be disqualified from the event and asked to leave.
  • AustinHack reserves the right to take appropriate action, including banning individuals from future events.
